Martin seems to have it's updated line of guitars online now. I don't keep tabs on all the guitars, but I know at least the guitar I have has increased in price by $200, it may be rarity of wood rather than adding profit though.

Some notable new instruments:

5k Ukelele- Yes, true to it's name it costs $5300. Not sure how I feel about this, as I thought the $300 models were too much to consider purchasing. I heard about this plan when I toured Martin this past summer and here it is:

MC12-41 Richie Samborda- really beautiful 12 string (the first I've seen with a cutaway from Martin I believe), but it costs $8000-

FelixII- crazy mini guitar $600-

Realtree- looks really tacky but when I played it at the factory it played remarkably well for the size and finish. It's really heavy for some reason-

New Eric Clapton signature Belezza Bianca-
I saw the first batch of these being made, not sure I like the finish-

A lot of new high end models, fewer low end. Martin seems to wanted to show off this year. If any other brand has updated it's models online please share!

Gibson has a bunch of new, HIDEOUS stuff.

Except for the Les Paul GT and the Vegas series.

Holy shit, do I ever want a Vegas Standard.

They certainly outdid themselves with the les pauls as far a quantity, can't say much about the looks though. The GT as you said isn't bad and the Vixen is certainly a lot more practical as far as weight. All of the new SG's are hideous, I agree. Wow Vegas... yes definetly. However it does look like a lot of vintage Fender semi-hollows, but I seem to remember Dave Grohl with a vintage model of that kind of guitar. I'd have to say Gibson really struck out this year with new models.

That's an old Gibson Trini Lopez that Grohl plays.

They're hot.

ah yeah, I see the difference. Very nice nonetheless, I wonder how much the standard goes for.
